David’s career began after seven years working in local studios.
In 1988, he opened his first facility, AD Productions, Which
quickly attracted major industry clients, including
Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads, The BoDeans, and
Cheap Trick. AD Productions featured the first Neve V Series
consoles in the Midwest and was featured on the cover of
Mix Magazine in November 1989. The following year, David
Arkenstone’s Grammy-nominated In the Wake of the Wind
was recorded and mixed there.
David relocated from Milwaukee to Los Angeles in the early ’90s, initially freelancing before becoming the go-to tracking and mixing engineer at the legendary Cherokee Studios. There, he worked with numerous A-list artists and earned a reputation as the Pro Tools wizard and top-level Mixer.
Beyond the studio, David also served as front-of-house engineer for major national tours, including Brandy’s debut arena and stadium tour with Boyz II Men. David produced the broadcast mix for numerous visiting artists and events on The Tonight Show, The David Letterman Show, The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show, The Vibe Show, the original Arsenio Hall Show, MTV Spring Break, Nickelodeon Big Help, and
many others.

THE STUDIO
Henszey Sound LLC, located in Universal City, is a Dolby Atmos Certified studio offering Stereo, Atmos, 7.1, 5.1, 2.0 and Binaural mixing. The facility also includes a dedicated recording and overdubbing room equipped with a multi-purpose HDR10 video monitor for tracking and ADR including Universal Audio 6176, 610 MK II, and 710-4 tube and solid state etc… preamps.
